Lavash with Cheese and Honey Comb

How to make Lavash with Cheese and Honey Comb

Here is my go to snack everyday of the week. Crackers, cheese, and honeycomb. There’s not too many snacks in my mind that are better. I might have a problem because I probably eat cheese everyday sometimes more than one meal. I have no problem eating it with pretzels crackers or any other type of flatbread. If you want to go the extra mile you can make your own as I have done here. I made this with a more mediterranean flavor with zaatar and dill. Here is this simple recipe for how to make flatbread or crackers.

Recipe Ingredients

lavash cracker

1 1/2 flour

1/2 cup water

3 tbsp of olive oil

1 tsp of salt

1 tbsp of zaatar

1 tbsp of dill

6 oz of sheep’s milk fresh cheese

6 oz of honeycomb

In a small bowl add flour, salt, and spices. Make a well in the center of the flour and add oil and water. Take a fork and mix the wet with the dry ingredients until it forms a dough. Once the dough is formed allow to rest covered for 20 minutes. I like to use my pasta machine and roll dough down a few notches until you get the thickness that you like. Then place on a sheet pan and lightly season with salt. Place in the oven for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Take out and cool completely. Place on a plate with cheese and honey. Serve and enjoy this simple pleasure!
